McKinney, Texas is set to host its 17th annual Oktoberfest from September 27 to 29. The event, presented by Tomes Auto Group, will take place in Downtown McKinney and offers a variety of German-themed activities for attendees.
The festival promises an array of attractions including authentic German music, traditional costumes, dancing, and cuisine. According to Cultural District Director Andrew Jones, “We're excited to bring back the VIP biergarten sponsored by Blue Box with upgraded beer and food options.” He added that the event will use a ticketless system aimed at making the process more seamless for visitors.
Oktoberfest is free to attend with complimentary parking and shuttle services available. Visitors can enjoy exclusive craft beers in the Blue Box VIP Biergarten along with food provided by Hamm’s. Tickets for this private experience are priced at $45 for a one-day pass or $115 for a multi-day pass.
A variety of food options will be on offer including brats, sausages, schnitzel, strudel, funnel cakes, and roasted almonds. Beverages include selections from Hofbrau and TUPPS Brewery as well as wines from Landon Winery and Lone Star Cellars.
Live entertainment will feature polka bands performing across three stages throughout Downtown McKinney. Traditional events such as keg tapping are scheduled alongside contests like Weenie Dog Races and Beard & Mustache Competition.
Several sponsors support the event including McKinney Main Street, City of McKinney, Texans Credit Union, TUPPS Brewery among others.
