Frisco ISD basketball teams face off before winter storm hits

A winter storm is predicted to arrive later this week, with meteorologists forecasting snow accumulation. However, before the weather turns, Frisco ISD basketball fans have a chance to enjoy a series of important matchups on Tuesday, January 7.

The evening will showcase three games featuring undefeated Frisco ISD teams in district play. Memorial High School will host Liberty at 5:45 p.m., with both teams holding a 5-0 record in District 11-5A. Meanwhile, Lone Star will face Wakeland at Wakeland High School at 6 p.m., both also undefeated with a 5-0 record in District 12-5A. Later, Centennial will take on Emerson at Emerson High School at 7:15 p.m., with each team standing at 3-0 in District 11-5A.

Additionally, another notable game involves the Lone Star boys' team (3-0) competing against Wakeland (2-1) in District 12-5A at Wakeland High School starting at 7:15 p.m. Other FISD teams entering the night's games with unbeaten district records include the Heritage boys (3-0 in District 11-5A), as well as both the Panther Creek girls (4-0) and boys (3-0) in District 9-4A.
