Boys basketball teams from Heritage, Memorial, and Panther Creek high schools are advancing to the area round of the playoffs. The games are scheduled for Friday night, February 21.
In the bi-district round on Tuesday, Heritage secured their spot with an 87-57 win over Wakeland. Memorial triumphed over Lone Star with a score of 74-56, while Panther Creek dominated Irving North Hills with a 92-23 victory.
Each team is competing in a different bracket for the playoffs: Heritage in 5A Division I, Memorial in 5A Division II, and Panther Creek in 4A Division I. This setup ensures that these teams will not face each other in the upcoming rounds.
The schedule for Friday's games is as follows:
- Memorial will play against Hallsville at Emory Rains High School at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through Rains ISD.
- Heritage will compete against Prosper Walnut Grove at McKinney High School at 7 p.m., with tickets available via McKinney ISD.
- Panther Creek will face Kimball at Arlington ISD Athletics Center at 8 p.m., with tickets provided by Arlington ISD.
