Over the past eight seasons, Frisco Independent School District (FISD) boys and girls soccer teams have secured eight state titles. This year, they are again strong contenders for a championship trophy in Georgetown.
The strength of FISD's soccer programs is evident in the latest Dallas Morning News 5A-others area rankings. These rankings include schools from the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Class 4A and Class 5A. Among the 20 ranked teams, which consist of ten boys' teams and ten girls' teams, half represent FISD.
Notably, both Wakeland High School's boys and girls teams hold the top spots in their respective rankings. The previous season saw the Wakeland girls win the 5A state title while the boys were runners-up.
The ranked FISD teams are as follows:
Boys:
1. Wakeland
3. Reedy
5. Memorial
6. Centennial
7. Panther Creek
10. Emerson
Girls:
1. Wakeland
3. Panther Creek
5. Reedy
10. Lone Star
With the season still underway, it remains to be seen how these Frisco ISD teams will perform by its conclusion.
