Frisco ISD has long been recognized for its strength in swimming, and the recent performance by Panther Creek High School's swim and dive team further solidifies this reputation. Competing at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium, the Panther Creek girls secured the District 7-4A team championship with a total of 151 points. They outperformed Sunnyvale, which scored 108 points, and Ranchview.
The boys' team from Panther Creek finished in third place behind Sunnyvale and Ranchview.
Several individual honors were awarded to members of the Panther Creek team. Cora Eckerd received recognition as the Texas Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (TISCA) Girls Athlete of the Meet. Arielle Ngero was named Girls Diver of the Meet. On the coaching front, Megan Gnoza earned the title of TISCA Girls Swimming Coach of the Meet, while Claudia Sunday was acknowledged as Girls Diving Coach of the Meet for her work with all FISD divers.
