Rep. Keith Self, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 3rd district since 2023, has recently shared his views on various national issues through a series of tweets. These posts reflect his positions on women's sports, drug enforcement policies, and federal agency management.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Self expressed his support for President Trump's decision to end what he described as "the Biden administration’s war on women’s sports." He stated that this move ensures that "America’s female athletes will no longer be forced to share showers, compete, or have their accomplishments robbed by men." The full tweet can be accessed here.

The following day, February 6, 2025, Rep. Self highlighted the issue of synthetic opioid-related overdose deaths in the United States. He noted that "70% of the 107,000 overdose deaths in the U.S. involved a synthetic opioid" in 2023 and announced his support for The HALT Fentanyl Act. He emphasized the need to empower law enforcement against these drugs and shared his pride in voting for this legislation. More details are available here.

Later on February 6th, Rep. Self commented on President Trump's decision to fire Rohit Chopra as Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He described it as "a great move" and urged Congress to pass his bill aimed at defunding the CFPB entirely. His statement calls for deleting what he refers to as an "unaccountable federal agency."
