Rep. Keith Self, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas' 3rd district since 2023, has been vocal on various national security issues through his recent tweets. Born in Philadelphia and currently residing in McKinney, Self has made clear his positions on matters involving international conflict and domestic safety.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Keith Self emphasized the urgency of retrieving hostages and criticized what he described as "anti-Semitic global elites at the UN" for enabling a challenging situation with Hamas. He stated unequivocally that "America doesn’t negotiate with terrorists."

Later that day, Rep. Self advocated for legislative action to protect Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents by urging Congress to pass the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act. This proposed bill aims to increase penalties for illegal aliens who evade law enforcement. He stressed the importance of this legislation by stating, "Let’s get this into law."

In another tweet posted on February 12, 2025, Rep. Self expressed concern over potential cross-border attacks targeting CBP agents based on a memo he received. He referenced a past military operation under President Trump as a reminder of America's capability to conduct precise strikes against threats, saying "President Trump executed a flawless precision strike on one of Iran’s top terrorists."
