Rep. Keith Self, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 3rd district, has recently expressed his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Self, who replaced Van Taylor in 2023, addressed concerns related to national security and government spending.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Keith Self reacted to a memo warning Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents of potential cross-border attacks. In his tweet, he shared a link for further details: "REP. KEITH SELF REACTS TO MEMO WARNING CBP AGENTS OF CROSS-BORDER ATTACKS: https://t.co/sP7KRHWbvz https://t.co/ofBitQA6cs".

The following day, February 13, 2025, Rep. Self commented on the alleged misuse of taxpayer funds at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He noted that the House Foreign Affairs Committee was holding a hearing on this matter and invited followers to join live: "The waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer $ at USAID will blow your mind… @HouseForeignGOP is holding a hearing on this now."

Later that same day, Rep. Self highlighted his collaboration with Senator Ted Cruz on legislative efforts aimed at defunding the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He succinctly referenced their joint bill titled "The Defund the CFPB Act": "Indeed. @SenTedCruz and I have a bill for this. The Defund the CFPB Act."
