Frisco ISD teams advance to regional semifinals in girls basketball playoffs

The UIL girls state basketball playoffs have reached the regional semifinals, with three Frisco ISD teams still in contention: Heritage, Memorial, and Wakeland. These teams are competing for a spot in the UIL 5A state championship games scheduled for March 1 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The playoffs are divided into Division I and Division II across classifications from 2A to 6A, based on school enrollment. Heritage is competing in the 5A Division I bracket, while Memorial and Wakeland are in the 5A Division II bracket.

All regional semifinal games will take place on Tuesday, February 18.

Memorial will face Midlothian Heritage at Hillcrest High School at 6 p.m., with tickets available through Dallas ISD Tickets. Heritage is set to play against Red Oak at South Garland High School at 6:30 p.m., with tickets obtainable via Garland ISD Tickets. Wakeland will compete against Killeen Ellison at Midlothian High School at 6:30 p.m., with tickets offered by Midlothian ISD Tickets.
