Rep. Keith Self, currently serving in the U.S. Congress and representing Texas’ 3rd District since 2023, has shared his views on several topics through a series of tweets. Rep. Self, who replaced former U.S. Congress member Van Taylor, was born in Philadelphia and now resides in McKinney, Texas.
On February 4th, 2025, Rep. Keith Self expressed support for Texas's leadership role as Attorney General Ken Paxton signed an agreement with the Trump administration regarding mass deportation efforts. He stated: "Texas leads the way again as Attorney General @KenPaxtonTX signed an agreement with the Trump administration to carry out mass deportation efforts."
Later that day, Rep. Self addressed political opposition from Democrats by referring to their claims as increasingly desperate and pointed to a resource for filing taxes free of charge: "The lies from the Left are getting more desperate… @RepSwalwell click here to file your taxes FOR FREE."
In another tweet posted on February 4th, 2025, he criticized USAID funding allocations, highlighting expenditures he deems questionable such as diversity policies in Serbia and LGBT initiatives in Guatemala: "USAID is a complete scam against the American taxpayer! $1.5 million for DEI policies in SERBIA $47k for a 'transgender opera' in COLOMBIA $2 million for sex changes and 'LGBT activism' in GUATEMALA."
