Rep. Keith Self, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas's 3rd District, took to Twitter to criticize Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen. Self expressed his dissatisfaction with Van Hollen's actions concerning a recent incident involving a constituent.

On April 16, 2025, Rep. Keith Self addressed the plight of Rachel Morin's family, stating that "Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen didn’t even call the family of Rachel Morin, one of HIS constituents, who was savagely murdered by an illegal alien. No, he couldn’t do that. Instead, he’s fighting to return an MS-13 gang member who was here illegally."

In a subsequent tweet, Self emphasized the same issue, contrasting Van Hollen's lack of communication with the Morin family to his public efforts regarding an MS-13 gang member. Self stated on April 16, 2025, "Couldn’t pick up the phone for the family of Rachel Morin. Holds a press conference for the return of an MS-13 gang member. This is the Democrat Party."

Later that day, Rep. Self highlighted a matter concerning the individual whom Senator Hollen allegedly wanted to return to the US. Self wrote on April 16, 2025, "Important information here on the “Maryland Man” that Sen. @ChrisVanHollen wants to bring back to America."

Keith Self, who replaced Van Taylor in 2023, continues to engage with constituents and political figures across social media platforms. Born in Philadelphia in 1953, the 70-year-old politician currently resides in McKinney.
