On March 10, 2025, Rep. Keith Self expressed his relief over the restoration of service on the social media platform X after an outage. He reflected on how news was consumed before such platforms existed: "X being down for the last few hours reminded me of what life was like when the mainstream media was the public’s only window to the news—slow with a lot of spin! Glad X is back up and running @elonmusk!"
In another tweet posted shortly after, Rep. Self commented on public opinion regarding former President Trump's agenda. He highlighted a recent poll's findings: "The crybabies on CNN aren’t going to like this... The American people are THRILLED with President Trump’s agenda. According to a recent CBS poll, President Trump’s HISTORIC Joint Address to Congress received YUGE approval ratings."
Additionally, Rep. Self addressed immigration policy in a subsequent post. He discussed incentives for self-deportation provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS): "Why would an illegal immigrant want to self-deport? DHS says if they leave now, they will have the opportunity to return to the U.S. legally in the future and chase the American dream."
