Lone Star Language Academy School District Education: 78 Asian students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 78 Asian students enrolled in Lone Star Language Academy School District in the 2022-23 school year, 13% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Lone Star Language Academy School District welcomed 174 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 44.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Lone Star Language Academy School District roughly covers schools within Collin County and has a main office in Plano.

Lone Star Language Academy was the only school in the district which enrolled Asian students, welcoming 78 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
