Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 32.6% of Blue Ridge ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 329 Hispanic students enrolled in Blue Ridge ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 10.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Blue Ridge ISD schools welcomed 1,009 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 32.6% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Blue Ridge ISD roughly covers schools within Collin County and has a main office in Blue Ridge.

Among the three schools in Blue Ridge ISD schools, Blue Ridge Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 158 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
