Rep. Keith Self, currently serving Texas' 3rd District in the U.S. Congress, utilized social media to share messages imbued with religious sentiment and goodwill during the month of April. Self, who succeeded Van Taylor in Congress in 2023, commemorated religious events through a series of tweets, each underscoring significant Christian observances.

On April 17, 2025, Rep. Keith Self expressed patriotic sentiments with a tweet stating, "Beautiful to see. God Bless America."

In recognition of Good Friday on April 18, Self tweeted a message of reflection and spirituality, wishing others a blessed day as they contemplated the sacrifices commemorated by the Christian tradition. He quoted a scripture from the Bible, saying: "Wishing everyone a blessed Good Friday, as we reflect on the sacrifice and love shown through the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. 'He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.' - 1 Peter".

He further extended his greetings on Easter Sunday, dated April 20, through another heartfelt message. Self shared a quote from Matthew 28:6 and conveyed joyous wishes for the holy day, stating: "On Easter, this joyful and holy day, my office wishes you and your family hope and joy. HE IS RISEN! 'He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.' - Matthew 28:6".

Keith Self, age 70, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1953, and now resides in McKinney.
