Princeton ISD Education: 6,767 students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 6,767 students enrolled in Princeton ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 16.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Princeton ISD students was Hispanic, accounting for 45.1% of the student population.

Princeton ISD roughly covers schools within Collin County with its main office in Princeton.

Among the 10 schools in Princeton ISD, Princeton High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,349 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
