Mike R. Waldrip, Superintendent Frisco Independent School District | Official website
Families who use Frisco ISD bus services will have a new way to access information this year.
Bus route information has been released for 2024-25, and My Ride K-12 will provide route numbers, scheduled stop times, and stop locations. This information is accessible through the My Ride K-12 website, the My Ride K-12 app (available for iPhone or Android users), and the Frisco ISD bus route webpage.
Families must create a profile with My Ride K-12 to see their individual routing information. They will need to know their student’s ID number to access or create a profile. If no route information is available after registration, the student may be ineligible for bus services. For questions, families can email routing@friscoisd.org.
Transportation is available for children who live two miles or more from their assigned school. The distance a student lives from their assigned school is determined by measuring from the flagpole of the school to the curb in front of their home, or vice versa, using the shortest trafficable route. The only exceptions to the two-mile rule are for elementary or middle school students who must cross a six-lane roadway with a speed limit over 45 mph, tollway, state highway, or farm-to-market road.
The District does not require students to use the bus if eligible. Registration to use the bus is also not required.
Frisco ISD hires bus drivers and monitors all year long. Benefits include competitive pay, health benefits, and the opportunity to send your students to FISD schools.
