Bright Academy, an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School since 2021, is inviting Frisco ISD families to learn about its IB Primary Years Programme at an upcoming Family Information Night. The event will take place on Thursday, February 6, from 6-7 p.m. at the school's location on Woodstream Drive in Frisco, Texas.
As the only designated IB Primary Years Programme within Frisco ISD, Bright Academy aims to nurture young people who are inquisitive, knowledgeable, and caring. The program seeks to promote a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
The curriculum at Bright Academy integrates IB themes with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. It includes Spanish language instruction for students in grades K-5 and employs teachers chosen for their ability to work in an innovative and interdisciplinary setting.
Principal Carrie Dellinger highlighted the benefits of the program: “The IB program at Bright fosters curious, compassionate and globally minded learners,” she said. “We invite families to visit our school, meet our dedicated educators and see firsthand how our IB approach creates a dynamic, enriching learning environment.”
Bright Academy encourages all Frisco ISD families interested in transferring to apply. An open house is scheduled for March 13 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., where prospective families can further explore the school's offerings.
For those wishing to commit to the program, forms will be accepted between March 10 at 8 a.m. and March 21 at 11:59 p.m. Students already zoned for Bright Academy will automatically be enrolled during registration without needing a commitment form.
