In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Self criticized Democrats regarding fiscal spending priorities abroad. He stated that "Democrats know that Americans do not want to send their tax dollars abroad for a 'transgender opera' in Colombia." He accused them of distracting tactics involving public figures such as Elon Musk.
Later, Rep. Self questioned the Democrats' reaction to an initiative by President Trump concerning cryptocurrency DOGE. He asked "Why are Democrats so angry that President Trump created @DOGE to justify that every tax dollar is being spent well?"
