Frisco ISD recently acknowledged the commitment of its longtime employees and honored the recipients of the Standing Ovation award. In an event held in April, the District celebrated individuals who have served FISD for 25 or 30 years and recognized 12 Standing Ovation winners.
Dr. Wes Cunningham, associate deputy superintendent, expressed, "It’s a privilege to recognize our service pin and Standing Ovation honorees. These individuals represent the best of Frisco ISD — dedicated, passionate and unwavering in their commitment to students. Their tireless efforts set the bar for excellence and inspire everyone around them."
The ceremony included a dinner where the long-serving staff received pins as a token of appreciation for their dedication, while the Standing Ovation recipients were awarded trophies.
Frisco ISD, which employs nearly 9,000 staff members, also acknowledged 131 individuals who have dedicated 20 years to the District, and 166 employees with 15 years of service.
The following staff members have served for 30 years: Christine Baughman, Student Outreach Specialist; Elisa Chon, Custodian at Purefoy Elementary; and Karyn Ripkowski, Kindergarten Teacher at Rogers Elementary.
Those recognized for 25 years include: Melissa Bentley, Child Care Worker at the Child Development Center; Stacey Dowd, Teacher and Coach at Frisco High School; and several other teachers, counselors, and specialists across various schools within the district, each contributing significantly to the educational community.
