Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 8% of Lone Star Language Academy School District's student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 14 Hispanic students enrolled in Lone Star Language Academy School District in the 2022-23 school year, 27.3% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Lone Star Language Academy School District welcomed 174 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 8% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Lone Star Language Academy School District roughly covers schools within Collin County and has a main office in Plano.

Lone Star Language Academy was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 14 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
