Frisco Independent School District has announced that 56 of its students have been selected as All-State musicians. This accolade is the highest honor a high school musician in Texas can achieve, marking a significant milestone in their musical journey.
Students across Texas compete for spots in the prestigious All-State music ensembles, which perform at the annual TMEA Clinic and Convention. The selection process is rigorous, involving months of preparation and multiple rounds of auditions at both regional and area levels. Over 70,000 students vie for this opportunity each year.
In addition to these individual achievements, the Frisco ISD Elementary Honor Choir has been named a 2025 Honor Choir by TMEA and will also perform at the convention.
The following students from various schools within Frisco ISD were recognized for their talents:

- Austin Crouch (trumpet) - Emerson
- William Folkmann (tenor trombone) - Memorial
- Akshay Iyer (tuba) - Heritage
- Nicholas Koepp (Bb clarinet) - Centennial
- Shritan Khammamkar (bass clarinet) - Independence
- Ethan Kim (euphonium) - Liberty
- Serena Leng (french horn) - Independence
- Brianna Mihelich (Eb clarinet) - Frisco
- Jake Montee (tenor trombone) - Lebanon Trail
Additional honorees include Anish Paduchuri, Suhaib Sabir, Robert Schettler, Darshan Senthil Kumar, Maaz Shamim, Vivaan Sharma, Eden Shin, David Timpani, Simeon Varghese, Scarlett Whitsell, Rachael Ye among others. These students represent a wide array of instruments and vocal ranges.
Their participation in the upcoming convention underscores Frisco ISD's commitment to fostering musical excellence among its students. The district congratulates all participants and their directors on this noteworthy achievement.
