Frisco ISD basketball teams are set for crucial playoff matches this Tuesday. The Memorial girls' team, with a record of 33-7, secured their spot in the Class 5A Division II state semifinals by defeating Wakeland 46-41 in overtime. They will face Lubbock Monterey, who holds a 35-5 record, at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene at 6:30 p.m. A victory would advance them to the state championship game scheduled for Saturday in San Antonio.

Meanwhile, the boys' teams from Heritage and Memorial will also compete on Tuesday night. Heritage emerged victorious against Prosper Walnut Grove with a score of 79-56 and will take on Red Oak at Richardson Berkner High School at 7 p.m. On the same evening, Memorial defeated Hallsville 59-56 and is set to play against Waco University at Midlothian High School, also at 7 p.m.

"Good luck to all of FISD’s teams!" reads an enthusiastic message for the competing squads.

Tickets for these events are available through their respective venues.
