Frisco ISD opens summer transfer window for student relocations
Frisco ISD families who wish to transfer their students to another campus for the 2024-25 academic year can do so during the summer transfer window, which opens from June 28 to July 22. Students are eligible to transfer to campuses with a projected enrollment of less than 90% capacity for grades K-8. Transfer requests for campuses not listed on the District website will not be considered.

The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees has adopted its 2024-25 priorities following two workshops dedicated to their development. These priorities are aspirational and intended to guide the District's work over the next year. This initiative is part of a framework for ongoing strategic change that Frisco ISD refers to as Dynamic Organizational Strategy, which replaces the concept of a long-term strategic plan in favor of continuous improvement.

Frisco ISD renovates multiple campuses using funds from 2018 bond package
Dozens of Frisco ISD campuses and facilities are undergoing scheduled summer renovations funded by the 2018 bond package. Crews will be replacing old equipment, paint, and carpet, as well as refinishing athletic fields. Some campuses will be closed for renovations, with their phone lines transferred to temporary locations.

Class of 2024 graduates with significant college credits
By the time the Class of 2024 collected their diplomas last month, many had already accumulated years’ worth of college credit. In addition to Advanced Placement courses that can qualify for college credit by exam, dual credit courses provided through partnerships with Collin College and the University of North Texas help students get a head start on college.

Frisco ISD students receive top honors in national merit scholarship program
Last fall, Frisco ISD celebrated the recognition of 113 students as National Merit Semifinalists, marking the highest number for any Texas school district. Of these, 32 students have been awarded National Merit $2,500, Honorary Merit, or corporate-sponsored scholarships by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. This figure represents the highest number of recipients in the state.

Frisco ISD honors 2024 graduates committed to military service
Frisco ISD recognizes members of the Class of 2024 who have committed to post-graduation military service. Several students from the district have secured appointments to U.S. military academies, while others will participate in college-level Reserve Officers’ Training Corps programs designed to prepare them for roles as officers in the U.S. military. Additionally, more than two dozen graduates have announced plans to enlist directly in various branches of the military.

Frisco ISD Board of Trustees approves 2024-25 budget with deficit
The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the 2024-25 budget and compensation plan, which includes a 3% raise for all employees. The adopted budget includes $721.69 million in revenue, $752.50 million in spending, and a $30.81 million deficit, or 4% of the budget.
